The LHC Experiment at European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN)

without comments

So anyone who’s read Dan Brown’s novels knows that CERN is the most coolest, the most awesomest research facility in the whole wide world. Something much like the Academy in X-Men or Batman’s Batcave, or whatever. It even sounds cool, CERN! And it is, because they invented the modern internet!

So what’s really going on and whats all the fuss about? Well, the LHC or (Large Hadron Collider) at CERN is a massive ring running through two countries used to smash particles together so they can study the creation and dissipation of energy and mass at particle level.

The CERN facility specializes in particle accelerators and they are in the business of creating small black-holes! The ones that exhibit gobbling up property anything that comes near them. Cool?! The earth might get swallowed into the nether (and we might cease to exist as of Wednesday, jokingly.)

Anyways… without further ado, typing or linking, I present to you a simple video where sxephil discusses the next greatest invention after the internet, and the next greatest scientific experiment after the space programs to the moons and Mars.

Now you can bee good students and Google up news stories and articles on this experiment to learn the various perspectives on the experiment.
