Objectophilia: One Long Lonely Week!
It could terminally be termed as objectophilia, my love for the internet and my personal computer. Amazing how TV shows teach you things in ways you never thought. Anyhow, objectophilia is not a proper English word, though it is made to mean “the compulsive behavior resulting in affection, love or dedication to an object.” And of all places, I came across this term in Boston Legal 406, where Jerry Espenson meets another person with compulsive behaviors. That person happens to be his client and has been in love with some sort of an electricity switch box.
Anyway, I beg pardon for not being able to post on some really hot issues in the last few days, and you cannot imagine how in love I am with the internet and how hard it was for me to keep away from posting here in the last week. Actually I had my finals and I couldn’t really spare a second. Although I couldn’t really do justice to those minutes dedicated to studying, as always, but I did follow some stories that really interested me. Like the tragic murder/death of the Canadian Pakistani Muslim in Mississauga, Canada, Aqsa Parvez, aged 16, on some domestic issue (her father’s problem with her not wearing the ‘hijab’!) It’s sad things like these happen – no one should die, no one should be killed. This is really sad. My condolences to the family. I will do a thorough research on the issue before reporting.
Anywho, I am too indifferent at the moment, given to my total burnout from these two papers I had, to give anything else a thought. I leave you with this amazing music/song I’ve been hooked to since years. An old myth tells me that there is some sort of malevolent power in these string instruments that binds one in ecstasy… Bleh! Fuck it, don’t give a shit right now.
