Will the idiocy ever stop?

with 2 comments

I mean its totally useless to say it again and again about the mess the Lal Masjid students are creating for a country they want to own… Coming to the point, these people, again last night, ‘raided’ a Chinese clinic, reportedly an acupuncture clinic, and allegedly a ‘brothel’ and also termed as a ‘massage parlor’ and kidnapped 3 men and 3 women from there. I don’t know what to believe right now but what I know is that kidnapping innocent civilian ex patriots is the dumbest things you could do for one’s country.

These people, I think, have no consideration for human life, and they are totally ignorant about the political, and economic implications of their actions. History tells us that it won’t be a good out come if idiots like these and this idiocy is not put to rest.

What is saddening is the fact that this shit has started in Islamabad now. I never would have imagined it my wildest of dreams that the people in Lal Masjid would be so lost of sense and judgment about the realties of life and world. I agree that this life is only a prelude to the one in here-after, but please lets make it a hell who want to live this this one to it’s fullest (no matter how that may be!) or believe otherwise.

Backpacker’s report was the first thing I read this day about the incident on IMB, and here is what I had to say,

If the authorities are incompetent, does it give the people the right to take matters in their own hands? I don’t think so, especially when the consequences could be much much worse.

China is the last country we want to piss-off, for they are highly cooperative regional ally on the verge of becoming a super-power. Lets not alienate them.

Raiding an acupuncture clinic that was ‘allegedly’ running a brothel? Nice, I admire their reconnaissance, LOL.

We need to think with a brain, for the future. Actions have consequences and implications… -__-

Is this how closed out we are to other cultures that we can’t find a heart to appreciate them, yet want to play with the big boys?

And at least the government is making the right noises, as BBC News reports,

The Interior Ministry said the abduction was a “shocking and unlawful act”.

If preachers become the police, then let criminals become judges… Whats the difference? Preachers today have lost path and instead of encouraging correction from within, they are out brandishing batons and beating up innocent people ‘in the name of Islam’ and later on backing off from their stance. As I read, the hostages have been freed on the plea of the government.

If they have any sort of problem with any registered business, then they should approach the government and ratify a bill which disallows such businesses. IF they are going to listen to the same government let these people go, then it is also advisable that they approach the government for disallowing massage parlors all over Pakistan! How many parlors can they close down like that? How many problems are they going to fix? is this really gonna fix anything? I don’t think so, and the optimist inside of me has died. Hopefullist, rather.
